ROMANIA
Our Romanian schools, which are located in Targu-Mures and Reghin in the Transylvania region of the country, are currently looking for an ESL teacher to teach 15-18 contact hours per week. We use Cambridge's New Interchange series for our texts with CDs. You would be teaching a variety of ages. Some of the adults are from the professional business world. There is an ESL director who you would work with. You provide your own lesson planning but with the help of the director and the ease of the text books we use, you are a step ahead. You're also expected to take part in weekly meetings with the other teachers and any outreaches if planned by the local ESL director. You may teach in the mornings, afternoons or evenings. You would need to plan your free time and prep time around the teaching schedule. We encourage you to take language lessons and be involved in other ministries of your choice; mostly you would have weekends off. Remember this however; this is a ministry not just another ESL job. Our concern is to teach English but also be examples of Christ. We will provide you with room and utilities which would be paid for by us. You would need funds to live and to pay for food, and we can supply you with a budget. These funds would need to be raised or self supported. For Visa info contact the Romanian schools directly. You will either need a TESOL training certificate to teach with us in Romania, or be in the process of studying for an ESL teaching qualification. Currently we offer ours which is internationally recognized and accredited by the US and Canadian Governments. Cost of living is cheap in Romania and being in a city, transport is not a problem. administrative gifts. Knowing the language is an asset but not
necessary. Two permanent staff are already on site, running an English
club, but you would have the opportunity to build the school and
develop it. Facilities are available. If you're interested please email
esl@wegoglobal.com with your C/V.
